We work to support adolescents who cannot live with their families and may have Child Protection Orders, requiring out-of-home care.Qualifications and mandatory unitsThe following criteria are essential for success in this role:Current Working with Children Check (for paid employment)Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; Course Code HLTAID003)National Police Check (must be obtained via the Employment Screening Group)International Police Check for applicants who have lived outside Australia for 12 months or more in the last 10 yearsCurrent drivers licenceWillingness to participate in a Worker/Carer Exclusion Scheme CheckCurrent NDIS Worker Check (can be obtained via Vic service portal)The following qualifications are mandatory:Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention; or a recognised relevant qualificationIn addition, all residential care workers must complete the three mandatory units of competency within the first 3 months of employment if not already obtained:CHCMHS007 Work effectively in trauma informed careCHCPRT009 Provide primary residential careCHCCCS009 Facilitate responsible behaviourAllambi Care can facilitate the applicant in obtaining these units within the first 3 months through our partnered RTO (RTO no 45241).Ready to applySimply complete the application process by clicking the Apply Now button.
