The Opportunity The Royal Freemasons community is seeking experienced and motivated Food Services Assistants (FSAs) to join our dedicated team at our Coppin Centre Residential Aged Care Facility, located in Melbourne. As a Food Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality food and beverage services to our residents. Youll ensure that each residents individual nutritional needs and preferences are met, contributing to their overall health, wellbeing, and enjoyment of meals. Key Responsibilities Ensure dining rooms are clean, well presented, and inviting for residents. Assist in the preparation, presentation, serving, and delivery of meals and beverages in line with the Food Safety Program. Ensure the correct meals are served to residents according to their dietary and specialised nutritional requirements. Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism when interacting with residents, families, and colleagues. Support the kitchen team with cleaning duties, including dishwashing, sanitising, and general kitchen hygiene. Adhere to all food safety, infection control, and workplace health and safety procedures. About You Previous experience working in a food services or hospitality environment (aged care or healthcare preferred). Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and follow directions. Compassionate, respectful, and resident-focused approach. Key Requirements It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role. All Aged Care workers are encouraged to be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and to receive the Flu-Vaccine, all successful applicants will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
