Situated three hours southwest of Sydney, just over an hour northeast of Canberra, and within a 30minute drive of both Young and Yass, Boorowa is at the center of a thriving agricultural area. The school serves approximately 255 students, with around 13% identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Boorowa Central School proudly acknowledges the Ngunnawal and Wiradjuri peoples as the traditional custodians of the land, both within the school grounds and the surrounding community. Specific Selection Criteria Approval to teach Primary Library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education. Demonstrated creative, innovative, and flexible approach to managing a stimulating library environment to engage all students, enhance their learning experience, and promote a love of literature, with the ability to adapt and integrate effectively within existing school frameworks and library structures to support cohesive program delivery. Evidence of highly developed communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team, enhance practice, build positive and authentic relationships with students, staff, parents/carers, and the wider community. Ability to coordinate wholeschool events and programs that align with the Teacher Librarian role, demonstrating adaptability and a collaborative approach to meet the diverse needs of the whole school community.
