Job Description Oaks Port Douglas Resort are looking for a part -time Cook who is passionate about creating delicious meals and delivering a high standard of food service to join the team. As a Cook, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen. Youll prepare and cook a range of dishes to a consistently high standard, maintain a clean and organised workspace, and work collaboratively with the team to ensure every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience. Key Responsibilities Include Prepare ingredients and assist with the cooking and plating of meals. Cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations. Ensure great presentation of meals before service. Maintain proper food storage, safety, and hygiene standards. Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Shift Details (subject to change) Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday Shift times scheduled across breakfast, lunch and dinner periods Split shifts required on some days Immediate start available Hourly rates (excluding super) Monday - Friday: $32.31 per hourSaturday: $38.78 per hourSunday: $45.24 per hour Qualifications To be successful you will have: Proven experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role. Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. A positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for cooking.
