Production Operator - Devonport (Casual) Join J.R. Simplot Company, a global food manufacturer, in Devonport for a casual production operator role. The position commences in November 2025 within our modern facility that processes fresh Tasmanian vegetables for the frozen market. Shift work across a 7day roster inclusive of day / afternoon / night shifts. Location: Devonport, commencing November 2025. Responsibilities Inspect incoming raw material Operate fixed plant processing and highspeed packaging equipment safely Clean and sanitize production lines Accurately complete daily shift logs and system entries Forklift operations (for licensed candidates) Adhere to GMP and food safety practices Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) processes Additional forklift duties (if licensed): Transport finished goods between areas Use forkmounted RF systems and radio communications Operate within cold store/freezer Perform prestart checks Refuel and service fuelpowered forklifts and charge electric forklift batteries Qualifications & Skills 100% commitment to safety Willingness to work a variety of 8hour shifts across a 7day roster Current forklift licence with experience (mandatory for forklift duties) Ability to follow standard operating procedures Manufacturing or mechanical background advantageous High attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication; timemanagement skills Team player with positive communication Positive aptitude testing Willingness to undertake preemployment medical assessment (drug & alcohol screening) Application Applications close midnight, Tuesday 25 November 2025.
