About the Role As a Hospital Cleaner, youll play a key part in maintaining hygiene and infection control standards across our facilities. Your tasks will include: Cleaning patient rooms, clinical areas, and public spaces to a high standard Proper handling and disposal of waste, including biohazardous materials Supporting infection control by following strict cleaning protocols Assisting with other domestic duties as required to ensure a smooth-running facility A variety of Shift times are available. Salary Packaging is available for all staff. The successful applicant will be required to provide a current satisfactory police check prior to commencement. Staff are rotated across rosters. Nights, Weekend and Public holiday work is required. Key Selection Criteria Essential: Understanding of confidentiality and infection control practices Ability to work independently and in a team Good communication and organisational skills Physical ability to undertake cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods Desirable: Previous cleaning experience, particularly in healthcare or aged care Knowledge of safe chemical handling and waste disposal Familiarity with hospital-grade cleaning protocols About Us: Yarrawonga Health is progressive and innovative health service.
