You will carry out a range of tasks to ensure the school is maintained to a high standard, following set instructions and working independently on routine day-to-day activities. Regular supervision will be provided for non-routine duties. This role does not require you to perform any tasks or repairs that would normally be carried out by a qualified tradesperson.Your ResponsibilitiesAs the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Support a variety of security duties at the school that involve using and maintaining the school security systems; banking of school funds (the transport and depositing of funds at the appropriate banking institution, not collection, receipt, or reconciliation); and locking and unlocking buildings (within core hours).Assist with duties including clearing and hosing drains and gutters; collection of waste, food and paper on school grounds as agreed by relevant staff and the Principal, Business Manager and/or nominated delegate; undertaking immediate action cleaning duties outside normal operating hours; coordinating the removal and disposal of rubbish as required (not including emptying of bins in agreed eating areas); assist with requirements for significant events such as fetes, plays and major sporting events.Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements including maintenance of a safe work environment; safe storage and handling of chemicals, fertilisers and fuel; bring to attention any safety hazards; manage equipment records; and maintain tools and equipment for repair services as per manufacturers'' service manuals.Please refer to the attached role description for the full list of responsibilities and mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
