About The Opportunity A vacancy exists at the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit (BIRU) for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. The occupational therapy team plays a vital role in the multidisciplinary team, providing rehabilitation to the patients of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit. You will be supported to provide and learn skills specific to brain injury and neurological rehabilitation. The Occupational therapist will be working with individuals with physical, cognitive and behavioural impairments as a result of their brain injury. What You''ll Be Doing Provide a highquality occupational therapy service to clients and their families/carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for the clients of the service. This encompasses ensuring effective and efficient entry, assessment, treatment planning, treatment implementation, evaluation and separation of patients/clients in a multidisciplinary setting. The Occupational Therapist is also responsible for undertaking designated administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery. Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Demonstrated clinical experience in rehabilitation. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Applicants must possess an Australian CClass drivers licence (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class licence (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain an NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) licence within three months of appointment.
