The Opportunity Lithgow City Council has an exciting opportunity for a Plant Operator - Backhoe to join their Rural Works team. Reporting to the Rural Works Coordinator you will be responsible for loading materials and excavating trenches while operating the backhoe loader and performing other duties as required. As a skilled operator, you will have regular opportunities to rotate through various positions within the team, improving your skills in the construction field. About you The successful candidate will meet the following criteria: Class C Drivers Licence Demonstrated competency in the operation of a backhoe WH&S Induction for Construction Works Certificate (Whitecard) Traffic Control Ticket Willingness to undertake additional training Demonstrated commitment to Work Health & Safety and Risk Management procedures Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment Demonstrated commitment to the principles of integrity and honesty In addition, an ideal candidate would have demonstrated competency in plant operator tickets, MR Licence, previous labouring experience and experience in the operation of a backhoe.
