Requirements for this role: Flexible hours available 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role This is an immediate start position Necessity Kids is a leading multidisciplinary team based in the beautiful Illawarra region. We are a growing team dedicated to providing exceptional support to children aged 0-18 years with developmental delays and disabilities. Our team consists of highly skilled professionals, and we are now looking for a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join us on a part-time to full-time basis (38 hours desirable) and make a real difference in children''s lives. What We Offer: Friday Team Days Every Friday from 9 AM to 10:30 AM is non-therapy time, allowing for team meetings and collaborative activities. Operational Support A full operations team, including a General Manager and administration staff, handles NDIS service agreements, payments, phone inquiries, and client interactions. The Role: As an Occupational Therapist at Necessity Kids, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy to children with developmental delays and disabilities. You will work closely with families, educators, and other allied health professionals to support children in achieving their developmental goals. Key Responsibilities: Provide individualised occupational therapy services to children aged 0-18 years. Develop and implement therapy plans to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and social participation. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to create holistic intervention strategies. Maintain thorough documentation and reporting in line with NDIS and organisational requirements. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and collaborative learning opportunities. About You: A recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy. AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist. A minimum of 5 years of experience in pediatric occupational therapy. Strong understanding of Neurodiverse Affimring Approaches and evidence-based interventions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with clients, families, and team members. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. A current Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Check, National Police Check, and eligibility for relevant professional memberships. Why Join Us?
