About the role This is an Aboriginal Identified role where Aboriginal identity, cultural knowledge or connections are a genuine aspect of the role. National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) has a unique opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to work as part of the Eurobodalla Area team to provide quality customer service and administrative support for the Gulaga and Biamanga Boards of Management. Were looking for individuals who have a cultural association with Yuin Country and are natural coordinators with strong administration and computer skills. Gulaga and Biamanga National Parks are jointly managed by NPWS and the Boards of Management. This is the ideal job opportunity to work on Country and closely with Traditional Owners. About You You are a motivated and organised individual with a commitment to supporting Aboriginal communities and a passion for environmental and cultural conservation. With a high level of attention to details and strong administrative and customer service skills, youre confident using computer-based technology and managing tasks like records maintenance, meeting coordination, minute taking and financial processes. You work well both independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively across cultures and contributing to a respectful, inclusive workplace. Your ability to prioritise, stay detailfocused, and adapt to changing demands ensures smooth day-today operations in support of the National Parks and Wildlife Services vital work. This is an identified role under Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 and as such Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role. Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal people, government organisations and communities with the ability to communicate across cultures. Experience in administration including the use of computer based systems such as word processing, spreadsheet and records management systems.
