Training Officer Mount Thorley Warkworth (MTW) is an open cut mine located 15 kilometres southwest of Singleton in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. It employs approximately 1,450 people and uses dragline and load haul systems for continuous operations. About the Business Rare opportunity to join the Health, Safety & Training team Be part of a growing Tier1 operation with great culture and team environment Be based at Yancoal Mount Thorley Warkworth We are seeking a passionate Training Officer to join the team at Mount Thorley Warkworth. This role reports to the site Training Supervisor and supports the broader Health, Safety and Training team. Job Tasks and Responsibilities Develop, review and deliver internal training across site. Deliver training and assessment in isolation, site induction, contractor supervision & light vehicle operations. Maintain legislative and regulatory standards for training documents and procedures. Source, arrange and coordinate external training and involvement with training audits. Coach and provide feedback to stakeholders and training participants. Skills and Experience Essential Criteria: Minimum 2 years experience in a training role. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Excellent timemanagement skills. Welldeveloped range of enterprise skills. Desirable Criteria: Previous surface coal operational experience in a training role. Knowledge of Pegasus/Avetta portal.
