Together we can do more. The District Manager Recovery Services is responsible for oversight of all workers compensation claims management and Recovery@Work activities under NSW legislation. This includes the ongoing review, development and implementation of claims and Recovery@Work strategies, plans, policies and procedures to reduce claims costs and to improve return to work outcomes, improve organisational performance and ensure compliance with Ministry of Health, statutory and State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) requirements. Additionally, this role provides specialist technical and strategic advice on workers compensation matters impacting on ISLHD''s enterprise risk profile. This position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of staff within the Recovery Services Unit, and for fostering a positive working relationship with ISLHD''s external TMF Claims Manager. Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhavens major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
