Role: Assist Director/Educational Leader Service: Star of the Sea Long Day Care, Wondunna Place: 59 place Service As our Assistant Director and Educational Leader, youll play a vital role in inspiring excellence in early childhood education. This float position allows you to work across the service, connecting with and supporting teams in every room. With rotating shifts, youll also act as the Responsible Person for both opening and closing as needed. The role includes dedicated Educational Leader non-contact time(2 hrs each week) and additional pay for your leadership in curriculum and pedagogy. What you will do: Lead with Purpose: Spearhead the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS), embedding best practices throughout the service. Mentor & Empower: Support educators in curriculum design, intentional teaching, and reflective practice to elevate learning outcomes. Champion Continuous Improvement: Play a vital role in developing, reviewing, and evolving the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), reinforcing our commitment to excellence. Facilitate Growth: Lead engaging professional learning sessions and foster team collaboration to inspire pedagogical innovation and shared vision. Create Inspiring Environments: Ensure learning spaces are inclusive, engaging, and tailored to childrens interests and developmental stages where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to thrive. We seek a positive, motivated leader eager to grow and inspire. Essential qualifications and attributes include: Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved) Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and contemporary early childhood pedagogy Proven experience in an educational leadership role Demonstrated ability to mentor and support a team of educators Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Collaborative, proactive, and reflective approach to early childhood education Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), First Aid, and CPR certification Why You''ll Love Being Part of Our Team: Above Award Pay Enjoy a competitive salary ranging from, depending on your experience and qualifications.
