About the role Reporting to the Business Services Manager, the Student Engagement Officer role provides a welcoming first point of contact for young people, families, and visitors to our Sunshine Coast School, delivering highquality student services, reception and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations, strong community engagement, and the successful delivery of The Industry Schools programs. Student Engagement Develop authentic relationships with young people, their families/carers and community members to champion the delivery of The Industry Schools vision and culture. Maintain young people records in the student management system and academic reporting. Provide consistent, confidential and timely handling of sensitive student matters. Assist with induction, handbooks and onboarding processes. Monitor and report student absences, leave requests, first aid and incident reporting. Support the delivery of industry immersion activities, excursions, tours and events. Data, Reporting & Communication Maintain valid, accurate and complete data in the QCAA and student management systems. Coordinate with the school team to ensure timely submission of assessment and reporting data. Generate reports and provide data insights to track progress toward QCE eligibility. Ensure compliance with QCAA policies, deadlines and data integrity requirements. Communicate with students and families regarding certifications and records management. Assist in training staff in the use of QCAA and student management systems and processes. Manage incoming calls, emails and visitors to provide exceptional customer experiences. Administration General administrative tasks such as receipting payments, managing mail, coordinating couriers and deliveries. Support facilities bookings, rooms and fleet vehicles. Provide administrative support to the school team and the business services team during peak periods. Undertake basic finance and ordering tasks such as purchase orders, stationery and consumable supplies. Assist with event coordination such as parent information nights, graduations and industry showcases. Support Work Health and Safety activities such as lockdowns, evacuations and drug testing. Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and internal processes. The flexibility to provide occasional support outside normal hours to assist with and attend events will be required from time to time. Values and Benefits Think progressively. About You Experience in a frontoffice or administration role. Strong organisational and timemanagement skills in a fastpaced environment. Highlevel communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong attention to detail and customerservice focus. A discreet, professional manner and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check). First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain. Right to work in Australia. Ability to demonstrate The Industry School values. Proficiency in administrative or school management systems (e.g. TASS). Experience in the education or training sector. Qualification in administration or business.
