Come and be a part of this success here. About the Role BHP has an opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Infrastructure & Services, Engineering team in the Bowen Basin. Reporting to the Water Utilities Lead Engineer, this role will be responsible for scoping and delivering water & sewage treatment plant upgrade projects through the whole project lifecycle from initiation through to closeout. You will focus on ensuring compliance to BHP''s Small Project Management Framework, engineering quality and change management systems while working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcome for the business. This opportunity is being offered within the Bowen Basin located near Moranbah, Central Queensland. A Monday to Friday site roster with flexibility is available. Flexible travel options (FIFO & DIDO from surrounding areas) are on offer. Responsibilities Develop project proposals and business cases in line with stakeholder requirements and BHP capital expenditure processes. Develop project scopes, budgets and schedules along with all aspects of project management from feasibility stage to sustainable operations phase. Problem solve and manage engineering designs and ensuring compliance to relevant Australian, BMA and industry standards. Engage with key internal BMA stakeholders within the engineering team and across sites and central departments including maintenance, operations, procurement, water planning, legal, environmental, etc. Engage with external stakeholders including relevant councils, Sunwater, landholders, and other Mining Companies in the development and execution of the water treatment infrastructure projects. Contractor onboarding and contract management. Support the construction supervisor during execution and in line with the site''s Safety Health Management System (SHMS). About You 10+ years of demonstrated experience in the construction or mining industry, or other relevant experience. Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Experience in delivering process plant upgrade projects with direct exposure to process systems including piping, electrical, instrumentation and SCADA systems; with water utilities systems being preferred. Proficiency in BHP systems, 1SAP and Microsoft Project (or other scheduling software) preferred. Demonstrated contract management skills and commercial experience in project delivery and execution. Strong leadership skills with the ability to bring stakeholders together to solve problems collaboratively. Ability to mentor and develop teams to deliver projects through safely supporting a diverse workforce. Demonstrated strong safety leadership. Willingness to travel to site as required for the project. Strong focus on team culture and continuous improvement.
