About the Role The Sr. Director of Subway Market Operations (SMO) leads the SMO team and Operations support team in Australia and NewZealand, in achieving operational goals at the Restaurant, Market, and Regional Levels. This role directly supervises the Directors of Franchise Performance in Australia and NewZealand and manages the Operations team. The Sr. Director provides consultative guidance to the greater Operations, Development & Marketing teams to ensure initiatives are executable in the Field. The Sr. Director is responsible for the leadership & capabilities development of the Directors reporting into his/her Region; conducts business reviews with the largest MUOs in the Region; maintains the focus on delivering against AOP goals and provides insights, tools & resources to the team for implementation at the highest level. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensuring Directors of Franchise Performance are focusing their effort on executing Company initiatives to achieve and exceed set goals. Recognizing when resources and tools need to be developed, modified or implemented to remove barriers to achieve goals. Creation or collaboration with HQ teams to deploy those resources. Coaching & Developing DFPs to ensure proper succession planning. Lead and oversee the delivery of operational excellence through strong stakeholder management, alignment of business unit outcomes, and effective execution in complex, crossfunctional environments. Demonstrate the ability to translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives that drive franchisee success, foster collaboration to achieve results, and champion digital transformation to modernize operations and enhance the customer experience. Maintain a deep understanding of consumer expectations to ensure operational performance and product integrity remain at the highest standards. Participating in strategic planning with Managing Director ANZ to chart the course for growth; people planning, budget planning, setting of annual goals & benchmarks. Meeting with large MUOs in the market with DFPs & MFPs to conduct business reviews; attending listening sessions & advisory council meetings; attending HQ Field Operations meetings like Train the Trainer, Convention, periodic Field meetings. Attending crossfunctional meetings to ensure strategies, ideas & programs being considered are implementable in the Field. Providing crossfunctional support & feedback when a field operations point of view is needed for things like Big Refresh working sessions; inmarket testing of new products, equipment, etc. Skills and Abilities Required Demonstrate the ability to influence and engage stakeholders through logical reasoning and innovative thinking.
