Our Vinnies shops are a well-established and much-loved part ofthe Aussie retail landscape. Aside from being an op-shop mecca for fans of allthings quality and thrift, the shops generate revenue for our broad range ofservices supporting the community. They may also be a first point of contactfor people seeking emergency assistance. As a Retail Volunteer, you will play a central role in theoperations of the shop, making a significant and valuable contribution to the St Vincent de Paul Society. The Volunteer Role The Retail Volunteer will perform a variety of tasksincluding: Providing customers with anexcellent shopping experience; Sorting and pricing donations; Assisting with product display; Processing sales through thePoint of Sale (POS) cash register; and Keeping the store and sortingarea tidy, whilst maintaining safe work practices. No experience needed as in store coaching and training isprovided. We welcome those with previous retail or hospitality backgrounds toshare their experience with their fellow volunteers in the shop.
