Youll provide expert medical physics services while ensuring compliance with the NSW Radiation Control Act and Regulation. Youll champion safe practices, advise on hazard mitigation, and maintain systems to protect staff, patients, and visitors. If the role is part-time and only medical physics duties apply, NSW EPA licence is required; a radiation license with appropriate conditions as an RSO (IA18/S18) is also needed under the NSW Radiation Control Act.Demonstrated recent experience as a Medical Physics Specialist in a health or related setting.Experience applying radiation control legislation and safe practice codes in a health care environment.Strong organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously in a high-volume, fast-paced, and complex environment.Ability to contribute to research programs and collaborate with universities for education and research.Strong oral and written communication skills to discuss radiation issues with colleagues, patients, stakeholders, and the public, including the ability to analyse information and prepare briefs, reports, and plans on radiation safety matters.Current drivers license (P2 acceptable) and willingness to travel to NBMLHD facilities.For role-related queries contact Natasha Lathwell at [email protected]. #J-18808-Ljbffr
