About the Opportunity Apply in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge to plan, coordinate, and implement evidence based, trauma informed and developmentally appropriate assessment and treatment to children and adolescents (0 to 17 years) in acute mental health distress. The Safeguards Team is a new dedicated CAMHS resource designed to provide rapid response to resolve mental health crisis across community and inpatient settings. The position sits within the Safeguards CAMHS Response Team (Safeguards Team) and reports to the FWLHD Safeguards Team Clinical Leader with professional responsibility to the FWLHD CAMHS District Manager. Extensive effective experience in assessment, intervention and care coordination, in CAMHS. Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve, apply professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as part of a multidisciplinary team. Extensive contemporary experience and knowledge of psychological practice, as well as demonstrated understanding of the principles of trauma informed care and its application when working with children/adolescents and families/carers. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and competence in the use of information technology systems. Available to work extended hours and across FWLHD sites on request.
