Our national team includes Accredited Building Surveyors/Certifiers, Access Consultants, Airport Building Controllers and ESM specialists, partnering on landmark projects across commercial, residential, health, education, industrial, government, retail, transport and public infrastructure. The Opportunity Were seeking a Cadet Building Surveyor to join our Brisbane office. This is a handson role for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who wants to build a career in commercial building surveying and compliance across a wide range of Queensland projects in the private and public sectors. Youll be supported by experienced Building Surveyors and senior consultants, gaining exposure to assessments under the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Queensland legislation. What youll do Assist with NCC/BCA assessments and technical reporting under the guidance of senior professionals. Support preparation and tracking of documentation for building approvals and certifications. Attend site inspections and contribute to inspection records and compliance reports. Maintain and organise project files, registers and compliance documentation. Provide administrative and coordination support (data entry, document formatting, correspondence). Gain exposure to client communication and project workflows across diverse sectors. What youll bring Previous experience in building surveying or a related field is desirable. Enrolment in Building Surveying or Construction Management tertiary studies. Genuine interest in building compliance and construction legislation. Willingness to learn, take direction and work collaboratively. Clear written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail and proactive problemsolving. Strong organisation skills, with ability to manage time and meet project deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
