About the Role We are excited to share an opportunity for a permanent full time Team Leader to join the Vinarchy ANZ Operations team reporting to the Packaging Manager at our Berri Estates Packaging Facility. Our packaging team are responsible for packaging of wines of outstanding quality and value across the portfolio, including still and sparkling wines. The position requires strong technical capability, sound judgment, and the ability to manage day-to-day packaging operations in coordination with the planning, quality and laboratory teams, ensuring consistency, compliance, and adherence to Vinarchys quality standards. In addition to technical packaging responsibilities, the Team Leader is expected to contribute to planning and promoting a safe, collaborative, and forward-thinking workplace culture. The role will support compliance with legislation, regulatory frameworks, workplace health and safety requirements, and quality management systems, while actively seeking opportunities to refine processes and drive innovation. Our Team Leader will provide leadership; building capability, contributing ideas, and ensuring that Vinarchy Wines continues to achieve its vision and remain a place where people are proud to work. Key Responsibilities Support the Packaging Manager to ensure production operations are managed, implemented and developed to meet production KPIs, in a safe and efficient manner and executed to meet quality requirements and product specifications across 3 shifts (day, afternoon and night shift). Assist the Packaging Manager to challenge, innovate and improve department performance through the development of a Lean and Continuous Improvement culture. Ensure departmental standard operating procedures are current and followed. Contribute proactively to daily, weekly and monthly work planning, providing input on operational priorities and resourcing needs. Champion high standards of packaging hygiene, safety, and housekeeping, leading by example. Support the Packaging Manager to manage the Packaging Operations team in relation to performance, work standards, safety, timekeeping, absenteeism, minimising waste, maximising efficiencies and adherence to company policies and procedures. Lead, direct and motivate the Packaging Operations team to achieve business objectives and culture change. Monitor, maintain and promote safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies Support the compliance with quality standards and requirements through application of standard operating procedures Contribute proactively to departmental and interdepartmental communication using a variety of mediums (team meetings, 1-1s, visual management, etc) and facilitate and develop productive cross-functional working relationships within the business What Were Looking For Minimum 5 years experience in a packaging operations Minimum 5 years leadership experience. Practical knowledge of work health and safety and quality / food safety requirements Practical knowledge of lean manufacturing processes Strong problem solving skills and the ability to generate innovative solutions to work situation Strong planning and organisational skills Competence with Microsoft Office suite of applications. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build constructive relationships, and lead and inspire teams Clear, confident communicator across a range of levels within a workplace.
