Overview As a senior member of the ED team, you will be responsible for patients and provide input into the management of patients in the High Dependency Unit and in emergency situations when on duty. A strong relationship builder with a demonstrated commitment to education and training of junior colleagues, you will be an effective role model for all other staff and participate in teaching and training activities of junior doctors. You will be actively engaged in continuing education activities in addition to Continuous Quality Improvement activities, including audit and morbidity and mortality review. With Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Emergency Medicine or equivalent, you will hold appropriate Specialist Qualifications and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia. Qualifications Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent, with appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Experience in emergency medicine and high dependency care considered. Responsibilities Provide patient care in the Emergency Department and High Dependency Unit, including management in emergency situations when on duty. Act as a role model and educator for junior staff; participate in teaching and training activities for junior doctors. Engage in continuing education activities and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities, including audit and morbidity and mortality review.
