Job Description SummaryAre you ready to elevate your career in renewable energy? Crookwell Wind Farm, approximately 90 minutes north of Canberra. The 91MW wind farm is able to produce up to 320-GWh of renewable energy annually for homes in Canberra from 28 GE 3.4MW turbines, contributing to the capitals 100% renewable energy target. As one of the early pioneers in Australias wind energy sector, Crookwell plays an important role in the countrys sustainable energy future. Youll be working at the forefront of renewable energy, maintaining and troubleshooting wind turbines at some of the most exciting and innovative sites in the country. No two days are the same, youll be climbing turbines, solving real-world technical challenges, and helping to keep Australias wind power turning.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesPerform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbines and site infrastructureFollow GE manuals, specifications, and work instructions to perform assigned tasks and inspectionsConduct maintenance, fault finding, and high voltage switching operations as requiredParticipate in annual maintenance, retrofit works, major component exchanges, and fault findingUse GE software tools to maintain reports and submit technical queriesEnsure compliance with JSA, LOTO, EHS policies, and report issues promptlyMake a conformance or non-conformance decision upon completion of inspectionsReport errors, violations, incidents, or problems immediately using GE reporting systemsEmbrace a 37.5-hour work week, with opportunities for overtime as approved and participate in on-call rosters for after-hours or weekend work as directedQualifications, Requirements & CompetenciesQualified Electrician or a qualified Mechanic/Mechanical Fitter with electrical aptitudeProficient in fault finding (electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment)Proficient in using computer systems and tools for monitoring work and managing documentationStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishA current unrestricted driver''s licenseAbility to complete physically demanding tasks at heights, comfortable with heights (youll be climbing turbines, so youve got to have a head for heights and a love for fresh air!)A commitment to the highest safety standards, high performance, continuous improvement and delivering the right solutionsIndependent, solutions-focused, and well-organized in managing tasksOpen to travel to other sites as requiredAs GE Vernova is a global organization, working across different time zones, and monitoring, reading and responding to contact outside normal working hours can be expected.Additional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: Yes #J-18808-Ljbffr
