Responsibilities Operate Light and Medium Rigid vehicles (with a GVM greater than 4.5 tonnes) as an MR Truck Driver for the Maintenance team Tow any trailers that your vehicle is rated to tow Carry out general road worker labouring duties of a Road Worker Grade 3 Perform maintenance and manual labouring tasks using plant and equipment and powered and non-powered hand tools when not operating the Truck In addition to the above, the trucks operated by this position may include water tankers and Flocon Trucks (asphalt transport) Work collaboratively with the team including Team Leaders and Works Supervisors to manage the day-to-day operations and tasks as well as resolve issues that may arise On occasion attend after hours call outs and respond to incidents when required Keep up to date with WHS legislation and policies and procedures as it relates to minimising risk and keeping to safe work standards Work a 9 Day Fortnight For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack. Qualifications and requirements White Card MR Driver Licence Traffic control certifications (Implement Traffic Control/Prepare Work Zone) - Willing to obtain Labouring experience in a construction or civil environment and understanding of local road networks across the district You will live within 50km radius of the Armidale works depot. Experience operating plant (excavator, bobcat, front end loader and backhoe) is advantageous. Experience and ability to work under limited supervision while maintaining a safe and injury-free workplace in a high-speed, high-traffic environment.
