OverviewWe have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Receptionist or Administration Officer with experience in hospital administration and/or specialist healthcare practices, to join us on a part time basis with a minimum 56 hours per fortnight. Monday to Friday with some Saturday day shifts.Duties and responsibilitiesThis role will see you working collaboratively with both the administrative and clinical teams, as well as liaising with our 3 Support Offices. You will:Ensure a high level of patient and visitor care, acting as the first point of contact for the hospitalEnsure all admission and discharge documentation is accurately recordedEnsure all patient accounts are invoiced, receipted and reconciledManage theatre bookings and ensure lists are distributed accordinglyManage all health fund and billing matters; payments, refunds and reportingPromote a culture of continuous improvement, safety and excellence across all areas of the hospitalAbout YouYou have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care, and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:Experience in an administrative role within a medical, healthcare or hospital settingA high level of computer / technical skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Patient/ Practice Management SoftwareAn understanding of the Medicare billing system and the Private Health Insurance billing systemAbility to develop and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors and staffSolid time management skills and ability to adjust to workload changesSolid organisational and communication skillsEnjoys working with patients and being part of a teamCulture and BenefitsAt Nexus, caring for our people, patients and employees is at the centre of everything we do.
