Overview The Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools (DLCS) provides a range of services to support approximately 3,500 staff in 45 Catholic school communities that serve more than 18,000 students. The DLCS assists schools to build teaching and leadership capabilities in communities of professional educators who share responsibility for school improvement and for achieving the best outcomes for our students. Position Details Three (3) positions available. Based at our Tweed Heads NSW office, or Lismore NSW office, or Coffs Harbour NSW office. Full-time, 12-month contract commencing 19 January 2026, with the potential for an extension, or permanency. The Rewards Salary: 12-month full-time paid traineeship. Position Purpose We are inviting applications from current Year 12 school leavers, recent school leavers, or someone looking to start their corporate career, for one of three (3) Traineeship opportunities. The successful candidates will study a Certificate III in Business while working primarily as a Receptionist. Candidates will have paid study time each week to assist with the completion of study/course requirements. Your responsibilities greeting and welcoming clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner; handling incoming calls, emails, and enquiries, and directing them to the appropriate team member; providing general administrative support, including appointment setting, filing, and document preparation; maintaining a well-organised and presentable reception and meeting room/office space; ordering and maintaining kitchen and stationery supplies; booking catering; events management; and performing other ad-hoc administrative duties as required, or as directed by the Executive Assistant, Regional. Key Capabilities strong work ethic and the motivation to complete a 12-month traineeship, along with the ability to pass relevant study requirements; demonstrate initiative, and attention to detail; ability to use a range of Google and Microsoft Office products (or willingness to learn); ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences (a customer service background is desirable). respect and uphold the ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church and the values of the Employer.
