OverviewMeals on Wheels has been in operation for 70 years. We are a not-for-profit organisation that relies on dedicated volunteers to assist with the delivery of nutritious meals, provide social connection, and perform wellbeing checks for our communities most vulnerable. We help frail, older people, people with disabilities and others to maintain their independence so they can live in their homes and communities for as long as possible.We are seeking volunteers to undertake multiple tasks at our office location in Devonport and to deliver to the surrounding areas of Devonport 7310, Latrobe 7307, Sheffield 7306 and Railton 7305.Volunteering provides a sense of purpose and fulfillment, extends social connections, helps develop skills and communication, and serves as a valuable addition to a resume. Volunteering positively impacts mental and physical health and makes a meaningful difference within the community. Responsibilities Undertake multiple tasks at the Meals on Wheels office in Devonport. Deliver meals to surrounding areas (Devonport 7310, Latrobe 7307, Sheffield 7306, Rails 7305). Provide social connection and wellbeing checks as part of volunteer duties. Qualifications & Requirements National Police Certificate Driver''s Licence Additional Requirements Driver''s license is only applicable for driving positions. National Police Check is mandatory for all positions Meals on Wheels will pay the cost.
