About Direct Care Resources With over 25 years of industry experience, Direct Care Resources is a trusted care provider in South-East Queensland. We prioritise participant health, safety, and well-being, specialising in providing support in SIL houses and Child Protection Services. Your duties as a Support Worker include assisting participants with challenging behaviors, physical, intellectual, or psychiatric disabilities, and/or providing compassionate support to vulnerable children and young people under Child Protection Orders. Your Responsibilities Support throughout day-to-day living including but not limited to housekeeping, cooking, grocery shopping, personal care, and hygiene Community access and transportation Accurate and reliable completion of mandatory shift notes and incident reports as per industry standards High-level attention and understanding of medication administration as directed by policy and client care plans About you Confident, ability to stand your ground and set boundaries Proactive, able to think on your feet when under pressure Good Written and Verbal Communication, able to communicate to the team to pass on feedback and participant updates What We Offer Opportunity to gain Cert III, IV or Diploma at a heavily reduced price with our training partner Exceptional hourly rates for weekdays, weekends, public holidays, and sleepover allowance Genuine career opportunity with training specifically designed to support you in your role Work in an organisation that values training and upskilling its employees Rewarding opportunity with the ability to make a difference Opportunity to work 7 days on / 7 days off roster Your Requirements NDIS Worker Screening Check Blue Card (Paid) Child Safety division - Do you have a LCS2? or willing to obtain Full Australian Drivers Licence Completed / Enrolled in Certificate III or IV in Disability or Aged Care, or equivalent industry experience (preferred but not essential) Own Vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance Current and valid Level 2 First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module Capacity to work flexible hours on a rotating roster across weekdays, weekends, public holidays. Morning, afternoon and evening availability required Direct Care Resources delivers holistic care to children and young people, with a strong commitment to ensuring they are safe, supported, and empowered to have their voices heard.
