OverviewWe are currently seeking a Loss Prevention Officer for Myer Maroochydore. The successful candidate will be responsible for reducing shrinkage by detecting and deterring theft, ensuring efficient and compliant loss prevention activities, and supporting the Selling & Service Team Members in delivering service excellence.ResponsibilitiesSupport the achievement of the stores shrinkage financial imperatives and strategic objectivesAdvocate and action national shrinkage reduction tacticsEducate retail team members on loss prevention strategy, focuses, actions, results and processesEnsure building and team security including providing a visible loss prevention presence and the utilisation of store technology (CCTV, merchandise protection, source tagging, etc.) and other related activitiesMaintenance of loss prevention administration and reportingConduct loss prevention and compliance checksIdentify and communicate shrinkage trends and issuesLiaise and maintain professional relationships with local police and centre securityInvestigate loss prevention risks and incidents, including attending court as a witness where needed and supporting police activity relevant to criminal incidentsPolicy-compliant apprehension of offendersAbout YouHold a current Security License and First-aid CertificateExperience relative to loss prevention, security and customer service advantageousCertificate II in Security OperationsUnderstanding and application of policies and proceduresExperience with computer applicationsNumeracy skills with understanding of financialsUnderstanding of police proceduresBenefitsCareer progression & ongoing development: We pride ourselves on our career success stories which stem from great culture and ongoing development.Great discounts: On all our products, in store and online.The Retail Loss Team: Be a part of a supportive and connected team.We give back: Our Myer Community Fund raises and donates to support 60+ partners.Additional InformationTo be considered for this position you will need to be available to work across key store trading hours, including every second weekend.Aust.
