Overview We are seeking to establish a pool of Science Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. The Role Suitable applicants will ideally have a sound knowledge of the WA Science Curriculum and Senior School Science courses. Experience in teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Science courses is highly desirable. You will ideally be highly motivated; student and relationship focused and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful learning experiences. You will utilise innovative strategies and be able to work effectively within a dynamic team. This will involve you reflecting and assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice and cultivating a safe learning environment. You will utilise evidence based teaching practices whilst employing a range of assessment and reporting methods. Suitable applicants will engage and build productive working relationships with students and be involved collaboratively with the Science Professional Learning Community to improve student results. Ideally applicants will have some knowledge of Explicit Direct Instruction, knowledge of Professional Learning Communities and knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support. Mobility appointments and Eligibility Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers: Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position.
