Our schools focus on smaller class sizes, supportive environments and individualised learning paths.Core Workplace ObjectivesPreparation and delivery of programs in line with appropriate curriculum.Enhancing effectiveness in the classroom through improved teacher knowledge, practice and professional engagement to achieve improved standards of teaching and learning.Ensuring the most effective use of time and resources in the delivery of classes aligned to students individual learning and pathways plans.Promoting the schools alternative educational and strengths-based model to ensure student goals and personal outcomes are achieved with a focus on changing the lives of young people.Workplace Tasking & Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching duties are aligned to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. Key duties of the teacher may include but are not limited to:Writing curriculum that provides adjustments for students (understanding of TAS curricula; knowledge of the TAS curriculum F-10 is highly regarded).Planning, writing and delivering structured lessons that differentiate and personalise the learning for each student.Embedding best practice pedagogy into lesson plans to engage students.Working collaboratively in a small team to implement feedback.Participating in coaching and mentoring programs.Supporting students with a range of learning needs, including disabilities, behavioural disturbances, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, low literacy/numeracy, and mental illness.
