$69,420 per annum (not including superannuation)We are the home of harness racing in Victoria.We are a seven day a week entertainment venue with a range of racing and non-racing offerings including dining facilities, large function & conference rooms, 41 room four-star hotel, busy gaming lounge and sports bar & TAB.We are committed to providing high standards of excellence in racing, hospitality and customer service with a passion for providing our customers with a great experience.THE OPPORTUNITYOnly candidates with relevant experience will be consideredAs a Commis Chef you will assist with leading our team towards excellence in customer service and dining including -Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive service while supporting fellow ColleaguesPrepare and service all food items for a la carte and function menus according to Melton Entertainment Park recipes and standards.Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions in daily shift briefingsMaintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilageHave full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotionsEnsure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipmentFollow kitchen policies, procedures and service standardsFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling foodOther duties as assignedCustomer ServiceDeliver excellent customer service by demonstrating Melton Entertainment Park service and performance standards applicable to the kitchen.TeamworkBuild effective work relationships.
