Everything we do is dedicated to enabling, celebrating and supporting older Australians to live and age positively.About the OpportunityThe Care Services Assistant plays a pivotal frontline carer role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to needs and preferences of each resident in everyday practice. Assisting in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals.Your responsibilities will be to provide care and support aligned with residents preferred daily routines with a strong focus on:Meal choices and individual nutritionConsideration of allergies and food intolerancesEnhancing the overall dining experienceAssist residents with meal selection and meal timing preferencesPrepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferencesActively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimesUse empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experiencePromote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respectPrepare and maintain dining experience areas and provide meal service to meet individual resident choicesMaintain accurate nutrition and diet information as requiredAssist with quality food preparation in accordance with the Food Safety Plan, Bolton Clarke Food Standards and Dining FrameworkAssist with maintaining kitchen stock supplies as requiredAbout youThe successful candidate must demonstrate the following:Demonstrated customer service skillsA compassionate and caring attitudePrevious hospitality and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)Willingness to take direction from othersReliability and shift flexibilityGood time management skills and the ability to work well under pressureValid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)Please Note: Successful applicants must complete a National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker CheckBenefitsOur culture is both supportive and collaborative, where you can make your role your own.
