The Role of a Storeperson at Griffith Almet is to manage inventory effectively and deliver outstanding customer service on a daily basis. Griffith Almet Engineering PTY LTD is excited to announce an opening for a proactive and experienced Storeperson. This role is vital to our retail operations, overseeing essential aspects of day-to-day store activities and ensuring a high standard of customer service.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESFormulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies and setting prices.Receive incoming goods; inspect for damage or discrepancies with invoices.Unload vehicles, open packages, and remove contents.Use computers to check stock location and quantity.Label goods with their storage locations.Pack, weigh, and seal goods in boxes.Operate machinery to lift, place, and retrieve goods stored at height.Use specialised equipment (e.g., order pickers) and check items off picking lists.Assist with regular stocktakes.Utilise materials handling gear like hydraulic pallet lifters and hand trucks as needed.Ability to work independently and manage competing prioritiesAbility to lift and move goods with the machine and equipmentResponsible for overseeing the store accounts, to ensure all financial transactions are recorded as per the compliance and regulatory requirementsReport any faulty equipment to the store managerLOCATIONGriffith NSW 2680WORKING HOURSFull-time position, 38 hours per week.QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTSAQF Certificate II or III, or at least one year of relevant experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 4)Minimum 1 year of experience as a storeperson or in a similar roleAbility to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on safety and productivity.Ability to work both independently and as part of a teamStrong understanding of workplace health and safety protocols, including hazard identification and risk managementExcellent communication skills for reporting, coordination, and collaborating with everyone on site.BENEFITSCompetitive salary based on experience, plus 12% superannuationOpportunities for career advancement and professional developmentPaid time off and holidaysAbout CompanyGriffith Almet Engineering is based in Griffith, NSW, and is a distributor of Hayman Reese, including 5th Wheel, Towbar, Weight Distribution, and Accessories.
