OverviewThe Food Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for team members and guests by auditing compliance, developing and implementing safety policies and conducting safety training.ResponsibilitiesConduct safety inspections and audits to ensure complianceCreate safety training programsInvestigate and analyze accidentsMaintain safety recordsHold Safety Committee meetings with each outletRespond to workplace accidents, investigate and determine ways to prevent similar accidentsSubmit recommendations for improvements to the safety management programCreate and deliver safety training to current team members and new hiresDevelop, implement and enforce safety policies and proceduresIdentify, develop, and implement improved food and personal safety measurements with venue level managementConduct internal audits that have a focus on personal safety and food safety, and help the team to effectively execute against company standards and requirementsPartner with various agencies during safety inspectionsCoordinate and communicate with Regional Safety ManagerMaintain multi methods of safety communication and validationWork with GM and HR for compliance support and reward excellence programsCoordinate with HR on claim management and tracking and gathering of claim informationQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm.
