APO has been contracted by North Queensland Export Terminal Pty Ltd to manage operations of its coal export terminal at the Port of Abbot Point - Australias northernmost coal port - located 25 kilometres north of Bowen, between Townsville and Mackay, serving as the gateway to the Whitsundays. Abbot Point Operations has an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Coordinator to support our Commercial team in the delivery and management of a wide range of capital contracts. As the Contracts Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and compliant establishment and administration of commercial agreements supporting key capital improvement projects for the business. Responsibilities Implement and administer commercial agreements across diverse capital projects Interpret and apply contract administration instruments and agreements Lead tender negotiations, contract creation, and supplier performance monitoring Develop and assess contract strategy options, identifying and mitigating commercial and legal risks Manage multiple agreements, including construction and rates-based contracts Collaborate with operational teams to ensure delivery of high-standard outcomes Qualifications Minimum 5 years experience in a similar contracts administration role Background in capital or construction based contracting Strong understanding of legal, safety, and environmental regulations Relevant university qualifications in procurement, law, business, or related discipline Benefits A competitive remuneration package and a suite of benefits Relocation support for you and your family to help you settle into your new community A commitment to your professional development within a supportive workplace Relocation Assistance Excellent work/life balance near the stunning Whitsundays!
