OverviewThe City of Parramatta is undergoing change and transformation as we grow into a Global City. The Events and Festivals Team curates, plans and delivers significant public events and festivals in the Citys annual program, including NYE, Australia Day, and Parramatta Lanes. The team also manages strategic partnership investment by Council in externally delivered events and festivals, delivers Councils Live Music Program, and acts as the main contact for one-off events and festivals delivered by the community and third parties in the City of Parramatta.About The Role This position leads the production and delivery of the Civic Program (under the guidance of the Manager, Team Leader) for the City of Parramattas Events & Festivals team. The role delivers high quality events through the annual program to foster positive reputation and outcomes for the City of Parramatta.On a daily basis you will:Produce and lead the delivery of programming and/or operations for a wide range of Civic EventsAct as project lead for Civic Events and Protocols, managing internal teams and external contractors to ensure successful delivery within the annual programContribute creative ideas and insights to enhance event programming and align initiatives with the broader objectives of the City Engagement & Experience DirectorateUtilise Councils project management framework to deliver events on time and within budget, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policiesDevelop marketing briefs, support promotional campaigns, prepare reports and Council papers, and assist with sponsorship acquisition and activation for eventsAbout YouThe successful candidate should have prior experience delivering successful large public or private events, or similar activities or projects in the arts, cultural or related fields, demonstrating skills in complex project management and project leadership.
