OverviewAt Country Club Tasmania, were building something truly special a new championship golf course designed to rival some of the worlds best. Created by a globally respected architect, Robin Gibson, our new par 72, 18-hole Championship Course will be situated within a beautifully landscaped parkland precinct, inspired by some of the finest courses in North America and the UK. Scheduled to open in Summer 2026/27, it will offer a visually stunning and challenging experience and were now looking for a motivated and talented Team Leader to help prepare and maintain the course to premium tournament standards.Youll be responsible for all irrigation system operation, maintenance, and upgrades whilst providing daily leadership and technical guidance to our team, ensuring top-tier turf performance, water conservation, and sustainability.ResponsibilitiesDrive daily operations, set clear standards, and lead by example.Mentor, support, and supervise crew members in the field.Expert operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all irrigation systems.Develop, schedule, and monitor water distribution for maximum course health and efficiency.Maintain and promptly repair all hydraulic and control systems.Operate electrical systems for irrigation control.Implement industry best-practice water conservation.Provide hands-on technical guidance and training for equipment management.Liaise with other teams for integrated operations and project planning.QualificationsTeam leadership, coordination and technical mentorship abilitiesDeep expertise in irrigation, hydraulics, pumps, and electrical systemsSkill with troubleshooting, repairs, and system optimisationCommitment to water efficiency and environmental careCert III in Irrigation Technology, or Cert III in Sports Turf Management (plus irrigation units)Proven experience with hydraulic and electrical systemsDemonstrated in field experience working at a team leader level in a similar roleAn appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.What you can expect from usCountry Club Tasmanian is a proud part of Federal Hospitality (including Wrest Point, Safire, and Macq01 to name a few) and offers:Staff discounts across Federal Hospitality propertiesAccess to hundreds of discounts across many brands, helping you save on everyday expenses, including phone bills, fuel and groceries, fashion, restaurants, and entertainmentFree Parking onsite and fully laundered and tailored staff uniformFree Meal on every shift from our onsite staff canteenSupportive work environment with learning and development opportunitiesHow to applyInterested?
