Overview MANAGER GOVERNANCE, INTEGRITY AND ETHICS Picton location / South West Sydney Permanent full-time position Attractive salary based on skills and experience Generous and regular flexible working arrangements About the opportunity Wollondilly Shire Council is experiencing tremendous growth and an opportunity exists for an experienced leader to manage Councils Governance, Integrity and Ethics Team. This management role will lead our Governance, Integrity and Ethics team and you will champion transparency, accountability and fairness ensuring that Council operates with the highest standards of probity, conduct and care for both its people and its community. You will lead a dedicated team driving continuous improvement across governance, work health and safety, integrity, and complaint resolution. To succeed in this position Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant field or significant relevant experience Extensive relevant experience in a similar field Extensive experience in leading and inspiring teams, planning and conducting investigations, including investigation techniques, procedural fairness and a demonstrated ability to adopt a fair and equitable approach to the resolution of complaints Demonstrated problem solving skills and significant demonstrated experience with gathering information and evidence, critically analysing information and exercising sound judgement to solve complex problems and make sound decisions Proven ability to act as an advocate for the highest standards of ethical and professional behaviour in a multidisciplinary organisation Excellent written and oral communications skills, including the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders on sensitive and complex matters Extensive experience in building strong trusting relationships with internal and external customers and a willingness to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders Class C Drivers Licence Current Working with Children Check or willingness and ability to obtain Desirable Requirements Relevant post-graduate qualifications Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of local government and the associated ethical and probity issues which exist within local government Sound knowledge of relevant legislation including, but not limited to: local government policy and practice, Public Interest Disclosures Act 1994, Independent Commission Against Corruption Act 1988 What we can offer you Located on Sydneys southern fringe, Wollondilly Shire Council spans 2,560 km of natural bushland, scenic waterways, and vibrant, welcoming communities.
