About The Role We are seeking a values-driven Youth and Children Ministry Coordinator to establish, oversee and facilitate new and existing youth, children and family ministry opportunities with the Corps and the community. These will be in line with the local vision of Reaching out with hope as well as the wider TSA vision, mission and values. This is a permanent, parttime position offering 25 hours per week based in Bunbury, WA. This role requires the ability to work on Sundays. This role is identified as requiring a committed Christian, in accordance with Section351(2)(c) of the Fair Work Act2009 (Cth), as it is necessary for the role to conform to the doctrines, beliefs, and principles of The Salvation Army. You will successfully Create environments, activities and programs that will facilitate learning, build community and relationships as well as spiritual formation and development using ageappropriate and relevant resources, curriculum and content. Provide and organise pastoral care for youth and children as well as supporting and encouraging them to participate in wider TSA events. Provide and organise pastoral care and support to families (including adults) incorporating but not limited to the Creating Opportunities and Casting Hope (COACH) and Positive Lifestyl Programs (PLP). Maintain records and statistics for participants and team members including attendance, SP3, SAMIS etc. Provide oversight and direction for fundraising as appropriate and oversee budgets and finances. You will have Relevant experience in ministry and/or other children/youth/family related work. Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams. Formal Ministry qualifications are desirable. Understanding of and commitment to the Christian faith and mission and values of The Salvation Army. A National Police Record Check. A Working with Children Check (for Child Facing roles). WA Drivers Licence.
