Relationship Counsellor - Senior Practitioner (VAC0448) Gosford, Australia Salary: $56.24ph + 12% super Established Not-For-Profit organisation with 99 years of trusted expertise Additional days of paid leave on top of the standard leave entitlements Winner of an XREF Engage 2023 Best Workplace Awards for 2 consecutive years About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Relationship Counsellor to provide counselling services to families, couples, and individuals including children for the purpose of improving capacity to engage in healthy and respectful relationships. The role also involves case management, case coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and the delivery of group programs, seminars, and workshops as needed. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the use of various relevant counselling modalities, and in providing clinical supervision to staff. Working closely with the Practice Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring staff and leading good clinical practice in the team. The position will be required to deliver face to face relationship counselling services from our Gosford office with the occasional travel to Tuggerah. Fixed term contract until 31 January 2027, working 30 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position is in line with a SCHADS Award level 5 position, with an hourly rate of $56.24 per hour for a level 1 Senior Practitioner. Key Role Requirements Bachelors degree or higher in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, or related discipline Experience in providing clinical supervision and mentorship to staff Understanding of Clinical Governance in everyday practice, with the ability to demonstrate accountability in ones own practice as well as leading good practice in a team Demonstrated experience and skills delivering counselling services to one or more of the following - individuals, couples, families and children case work with clients, implementing and supporting case plans facilitating groups, seminars, and workshops Interpersonal and communication skills report writing, case notes, data collection, and data entry Demonstrated knowledge and understanding the process and purpose of child inclusive practice the issues facing diverse communities, including First Nations, CALD, LGBTQIA+ and remote communities the impact of family separation and breakdown on children, and having skills in managing high parental conflict whilst upholding the best interests of children child development, child protection, mandatory reporting, suicide prevention/intervention, and family violence issues trauma informed principles community services, especially those relating to families experiencing relationship difficulties the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act, and other relevant legislation What We Offer Salary Sacrificing and Packaging Options (superannuation, loans, credit cards, school fees) Additional days of paid leave on offer on top of the standard leave entitlements Regular peer and group supervision, access to Resources Employee Assistance Program Employee Awards & Appreciation Programs Training, Mentoring, Supervision and access to Resources How to Apply If you are interested in applying for this role, please click on the Apply Now button to submit your application.
