About the Role We are actively seeking candidates for three specialized Lifetime Warranty Engineer positions, each focusing on a critical functional area: Engine Chassis and Electrical Modules and Diagnostics Applicants are requested to clearly indicate their preferred functional area(s) within their cover letter. As a Lifetime Warranty Engineer, you will be a key driver in enhancing product quality and significantly reducing warranty costs across our International Market Group (IMG) vehicle functions. Your core mission will be to drive down Cost Per Unit (CPU) through strategic quality improvements and minimize Cost Per Repair (CPR) by identifying and implementing effective solutions. This dynamic role involves actively monitoring warranty trends, developing compelling business cases, collaborating with Product Development (PD) and Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) on 8D projects, and coordinating robust action plans. Reporting directly to the Lifetime Warranty Spend Coverage Manager, this hybrid role requires four days on-site at our WARPEC facility, adjacent to the IMG Product Development Centre in Broadmeadows, Melbourne. Qualifications Tertiary qualification required (Engineering preferred). Minimum of 5 years experience leading teams in a technical environment required. Automotive experience preferred. Proven experience in Manufacturing, Quality, or Material Handling within a high-quality manufacturing-design environment. Proven experience in a function area of either Engine, Chassis and Electrical or Modules and Diagnostics Proven Technical, Analytical, and Project Management skills required. Ability to manage and deliver specific projects independently. Excellent Leadership, Results-driven attitude, and Effective communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to influence and build relationships. Familiarity with Quality-AI, GSAR, OWS-SERVIS2, Microcat, Panda, PTS systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Datacubes.
