The shire is a popular tourism destination with pristine beaches, rainforest retreats and hinterland hideaways.ABOUT THE ROLEPositionCouncil is offering a great opportunity for a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic individual to plan, lead and motivate work teams to complete Council''s concrete construction and drainage programs. The position will also provide assistance in monitoring and reviewing concrete construction and drainage programs to ensure they are consistent with Councils vision and meet the objectives of Councils Delivery and Operational plan.To be successful you will bringBehaviour that positively demonstrates Council''s values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.Relevant qualifications and experience in a relevant field.Proven knowledge of concrete construction and drainage principles.Proven experience in developing budgets, budget administration and procurement for large projects.Experience with project and contract management including simultaneously managing multiple sites and contractors.Demonstrated experience in and ability to manage and lead teams.Class C driver licence with the ability to operate manual transmission and a good and safe driving record.Work Safely in the Construction Industry Induction ticket (white card).Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plans ticket or ability and desire to obtain the required ticket.The rewardsA salary range of $92,600 to $106,200 per annum (plus 12% superannuation), dependent upon experience, skills and qualifications.
