OverviewLocation: Nowra, New South WalesContractCadetship up to 2 years with flexibility to work full time while you study. Salary: 1,107 - 1,265 gross per week plus 12% Super. 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with the option of flexitime. Located at Council''s Nowra Administration Building, Bridge Road, Nowra. Anticipated start date: December 2025 to January 2026.About The RoleShoalhaven Water is offering a unique opportunity for a motivated cadet to join the Business Systems and Improvement Team. This role supports datadriven decision making by assisting with data collection, processing, and analysis across the organisation.ResponsibilitiesAssist with data collection, cleaning and validation from various sources.Conduct data quality audits to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with Council standards.Support the development of dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders.Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns.Document data processes and contribute to the development of best practices.Collaborate with team members to deliver datadriven insights.Contribute to work area planning and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.Support continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements.Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and reviews.Refer to the Job Description under the Job Attachments for a comprehensive list of duties, responsibilities and skills required.About YouTo be successful in the position, you will have:In your secondtolast or final year of a relevant undergraduate degree (e.g. Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics).Current Class C Driver''s Licence.Proof of Australian residency/citizenship or valid work rights.Foundational knowledge of data analysis and statistical concepts.Exposure to programming languages such as Python or C#.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with SQL, Power BI or Tableau.We are seeking a motivated individual who is eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a dynamic team environment.
