OverviewThe Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for two Clinical Nurse Consultant - Lead Practitioners for CYMHS Youth Forensic Mental Health, one in the North and one in the North West of Tasmania. Please note these positions are also advertised as Allied Health Professionals and only two positions will be filled on merit.Join our team and apply your skills, passion, and knowledge in making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people in the North or Northwest of Tasmania.We are seeking Clinical Nurse Consultants with experience in clinical leadership, complex case management, assessment, trauma informed therapy, and within mental health or relevant/related sector would be ideal. You would be working within a well-supported, innovative, diverse multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with children and young people.Our AimThe Child and Youth Mental Health Service in Tasmania is growing! We are seeking passionate and dedicated Lead Practitioners to provide clinical services with children and young people experiencing mental health concerns who are in out of home care. The positions available are within our new teams which are currently being developed as initiatives under the CYMHS reform program (Youth, Youth Forensic, Out of Home Care).The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Lead Practitioner will be part of the Youth Forensic Mental Health team and will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach, trauma informed therapy, and working within a multidisciplinary team environment, providing high level clinical leadership to the team.ResponsibilitiesBeing part of a dynamic and well supported team committed to delivering high quality trauma informed mental health services to children and young people.Undertaking clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.Working alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new child and youth mental health services in Tasmania.Leading and working with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Two positions are available, one in the North and one in the Northwest.LocationNorth: Based in Launceston CBD. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Salary and benefitsSalary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Employer 12% superannuation on top of this amount.
