Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander applicants must demonstrate Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander status in addition to addressing the selection criteria.Central Coast Local Health District is committed to growing and supporting our Aboriginal health workforce and delivering trusted care and better health for Aboriginal people on the Central Coast.About the OpportunityThis vital leadership role will ensure an Aboriginal world view is embedded across Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) services. You will support Aboriginal people and families accessing care, while guiding staff to provide culturally responsive and trauma-informed services. In this role you will:Provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentorship to embed cultural safety and Aboriginal perspectives across VAN services.Deliver and support trauma-informed, culturally safe care for Aboriginal children, young people, adults and families.Engage with Aboriginal communities, Elders and organisations to strengthen trust, collaboration and service accessibility.Support Aboriginal staff within VAN services to ensure a culturally safe and inclusive working environment.Contribute to service planning, interagency collaboration and continuous improvement to enhance culturally safe care.This role is suitable for Counsellor Level 4, Psychologist, Sexual Assault Worker Level 4, Senior Psychologist, or Social Worker Level 4.For more information about this role, please view the Position Description.About YouWe are looking for someone who has:Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage, confirmed through community recognition as required under Section 14(d) of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.A Bachelors degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or related health discipline, with relevant registration or membership.Deep understanding of the impacts of violence, abuse and neglect and experience in trauma-informed practice.Proven ability to deliver and support culturally responsive care in collaboration with Aboriginal communities and organisations.Demonstrated leadership capability to mentor staff and uphold cultural and clinical supervision standards.Applicants must have current work rights in Australia or be a permanent resident or citizen.
