As a proud not-for-profit organisation, our focus is on giving back to older adults by fostering communities of belonging - where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.Headquartered on Tasmanias northwest coast, we continue to grow, with aged care homes, home care services, and retirement communities across Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, New South Wales and Tasmania.About the RoleReporting to the Chef Supervisor, the Food Services Cook is responsible for the preparation, cooking, and serving of nourishing, appetising, and visually appealing meals that meet residents dietary needs and comply with the Food Safety Program.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and present high-quality meals that meet residents dietary and nutritional requirements.Collaborate on menu planning with residents, dietitians, Registered Nurses, and the General Manager.Monitor and report stock requirements to the Chef Supervisor.Support the implementation and compliance of the Food Safety Program (FSP).Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.Order supplies in line with menu and budget requirements.Plan and execute daily workloads independently and professionally.Perform other related duties as directed.Essential RequirementsTrade Cook Certificate or equivalent.Food Handling Course.Demonstrated experience in hospitality.Experience cooking in aged care or large-scale settings.Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain).NDIS Check (or ability to obtain).Must meet Aged Care Worker Screening legislative requirements.Why Join Respect?Permanent part-time position in a mission-driven organisation.Supportive and inclusive team culture.Competitive salary with not-for-profit salary packaging benefits.Ongoing professional development and career growth opportunities.Make a meaningful difference in the lives of older Australians every day. #J-18808-Ljbffr
