Add expected salary to your profile for insights The Community Support Worker will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals within the community. This position requires a compassionate and empathetic individual who can effectively communicate and build relationships with diverse populations. The Community Support Worker will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the wellbeing and integration of individuals into the community. Monday-Friday 9.00am - 3.00pm Responsibilities: Provide direct support to individuals in the community, including emotional support, advocacy, and crisis intervention. Assist individuals in accessing community resources and services, such as healthcare, housing, employment, and education. Develop and implement personalized support plans based on individual needs and goals. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to support. Facilitate group activities and workshops to promote socialization and skill development. Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and progress. Stay updated on relevant community resources, policies, and regulations to provide accurate information and guidance. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities. Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities, mental health challenges, or other support needs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust. Knowledge of community resources and services, and the ability to navigate and advocate within the system. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking skills. Proficient in using technology and software for documentation and communication purposes.
