On occasion the CMR will also have to deal with registrars that are finding it difficult to fit in with the demands of the position or who are under-performing.Key accountabilities for this role include:Assist the Director of General Medicine and Director of Physician Education with management of counter-disaster plans and counter-disaster incidents at department levelRegular direct input to the Director of General Medicine and Director of Physician EducationRegular meetings with registrars to discuss/monitor Registrar environment and quality of clinical service and the working environment within the departmentDisseminate information to registrars regarding issues with the Department of General Medicine, RACP, Industrial issues, etc.To be available on-call during working hours to provide assistance to medical registrars for any problems they encounterContinuing self-education including attendance at relevant conferences and choice of clinical work and/or researchEncourage an environment of teaching and researchFollow hospital practices and demonstrate initiative aligned to ensuring the safest possible environment for patients and staffLead and manage staff by fostering and committing to patient safety and quality in the delivery of health care by maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives.Ensure and coordinate written exam preparation for Basic Physician Trainees and organise the FRACP exam held at Mater Hospital Brisbane every yearAbout youTo be successful in your application you will have:Must have general registration with AHPRAMust have FRACP part 1 and FRACP part 2Weekend work required for FRACP examsMater is Queenslands largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
